Hungary is set to experience a steady rise in insulin exports and imports over the next five years. In 2021, the country ranked 8th for exports, with 458,860 kilograms, a 7.7% year-on-year increase since 2001. China topped the list with 458,860 kilograms, while India, Italy and Germany ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. For imports, Hungary ranked 11th in 2021, with 1,036,900 kilograms, an 8.8% year-on-year increase since 1997. Italy led the list with 1,036,900 kilograms, followed by France, Germany and the UK respectively. By 2026, Hungarian insulin exports are forecast to reach 510,810 kilograms, a 2% year-on-year CAGR, while imports are expected to reach 1,253,700 kilograms, a 3.3% year-on-year CAGR.
