Japanese exports of ethylene are set to grow 1.3% year on year to 791 million kilograms in 2026 from 720 million kilograms in 2021. This marks an increase of 0.5% year on year since 1993. The UK topped the 2021 rankings with 720 million kilograms, followed by South Korea, the UK and Japan in second, third and fourth place respectively. Japanese imports of ethylene are also predicted to grow 1.2% year on year to 90 million kilograms in 2026 from 85 million kilograms in 2021. This marks a decrease of 9.6% year on year since 1993. Spain topped the 2021 rankings with 85 million kilograms, followed by China, Indonesia and Germany in second, third and fourth place respectively.
