Germany is set to import 620.6 million kilograms of ethylene by 2026. This is a slight decrease of 0.1% annually since 2021, when the country imported 615.3 million kilograms. Since 1996, German demand for ethylene has dropped 4.7% each year. In 2021, Germany ranked fourth in ethylene imports, overtaken by Indonesia at 615.3 million kilograms. China, Indonesia and Germany were the top three importers, in that order.
