South African Ethylene exports are expected to reach 28,000 kilograms by 2026. This is a 3% increase year-on-year from the 2021 figure of 23,000 kilograms. Since 2005, exports have jumped 16%. In 2021, South Africa ranked 28th, with Belarus ahead at 23,000 kilograms. The United Kingdom, South Korea and Japan followed in positions 2, 3 and 4 respectively. South African Ethylene imports dropped 21% in 2018 to 1,200 kilograms, from 1,500 kilograms in 2017. This was a 2.9% decrease compared to 2005. Bosnia and Herzegovina ranked ahead of South Africa at 1,200 kilograms in 2018. China, Indonesia and Germany followed in positions 2, 3 and 4.
