Vietnam's import of ethylene is projected to decline significantly by 2026. The figure is expected to drop from 28,850 kilograms in 2021 to 9,160 kilograms by 2026, a decrease of 18.9% year-on-year. Since 2007, the demand has been on a downward trajectory, falling 6.7% year-on-year. China, Indonesia, and Germany follow as the second, third, and fourth largest importers of ethylene, respectively.
