Ireland's imports of ethylene dropped 94.7% in 2021 compared to the previous year, reaching just 98.8 kilograms. This marks a 63.3% drop since 1997. Zimbabwe was the only country with a lower demand, at 98.8 kilograms. China, Indonesia and Germany all came ahead in the rankings, at numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively. Ireland's exports of ethylene also decreased in 2018, dropping 27.3% to 293 kilograms compared to the year before. This marks a 40.4% decrease since 2003. New Zealand was the only country with a higher supply, at 293 kilograms. South Korea, the United Kingdom and Japan all came ahead in the rankings, at numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
