In 2018, Hungary's Ethylene exports fell to 19 thousand kilograms, a 100% drop compared to 2017 when exports reached 300 thousand kilograms. Since 2014, exports have grown 8.2% on an annual basis. Hungary ranked 41st in the world for ethylene exports, while Romania came in at 19 thousand kilograms. South Korea, the United Kingdom and Japan were the top three countries for exports, in that order. Meanwhile, Hungary's imports of ethylene increased by 22.6% to 3,620 thousand kilograms in 2018, up from 2,950 thousand kilograms in 2017. Since 1997, imports have grown 31.6% annually. Hungary ranked number 59 in the world for ethylene imports, while Iceland came in first with 3,620 thousand kilograms. China, Indonesia and Germany were the top three countries for imports, in that order.
