In 2021, Saudi Arabia was the 12th largest exporter, India leading the ranking with 168,570,000 kilograms, followed by South Korea, the United Kingdom and Japan. In 2018, Saudi Arabia's imports of ethylene fell by 35.6% compared to 2017, reaching 48,000 kilograms. Since 1997, demand has grown by almost 117%. The country was ranked 40th in 2018, with the United Arab Emirates leading the ranking with 48,000 kilograms, followed by China, Indonesia and Germany.
