Serbian ethylene imports are projected to decline by 20% from 2021 to 2026, dropping from 33,250 kilograms to just over 9,600 kilograms. Since 2012, imports have grown by 53% on average each year. Last year, Serbia was 90th in the world for ethylene imports, with Madagascar ahead at 33,250 kilograms. China, Indonesia and Germany ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. Meanwhile, Serbian exports of ethylene are expected to increase slightly by 0.5% annually over the same period, from 8.32 million kilograms in 2021 to 8.72 million in 2026. Since 2010, exports have decreased by 5% on average each year. In 2021, Serbia was 24th in the world for ethylene exports, with Argentina just ahead at 8.32 million kilograms. South Korea, the UK and Japan placed second, third and fourth, respectively.
