However, since 2016, the European market has seen a 0.7% year-on-year decline. The United Kingdom led the way in European travel agency revenue in 2021 with €33.5 billion. Spain, Germany and Italy were ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Slovakia registered a 16.1% year-on-year increase since 2016, while Malta saw a 17.5% year-on-year decrease.
