Egypt's pesticide consumption is forecast to reach 14,350 metric tons by 2026, up from 13,050 metric tons in 2021. This is a 1.6% yearly growth rate since 1995. In 2021, Egypt ranked 33rd, behind Greece who had 13,050 metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Argentina ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Egypt is also set to import 168,190 metric tons of pesticides by 2026. This is an average 3.7% growth rate since 1999, when demand fell by 4.4%. In 2021, Japan led the way with 135,390 metric tons, while Egypt ranked 7th. Thailand, Germany and Taiwan followed at 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
