Tanzanian butter consumption is set to reach 43,000 metric tons by 2026. This is slightly higher than the 41,000 metric tons consumed in 2021, which is an annual growth rate of 1%. Tanzania was ranked 27th in 2021, behind Switzerland (41,000 metric tons). Germany, France and Russia took the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spots respectively. Tanzanian butter production is also expected to grow to 29,480 metric tons by 2026, an increase of 1.8% from 2021’s 26,450 metric tons. Since 1966, production has risen by an average of 2.1% per year. Tanzania is currently ranked 32nd, behind Azerbaijan (26,450 metric tons). New Zealand, Germany and France took the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots respectively.
