Italian butter consumption is projected to drop 1.1% annually, reaching 102,000 metric tons by 2026. This marks a decline of 0.6% since 2017. In the global ranking, Italy was 11th in 2021, behind Brazil at 109,000 metric tons. Germany, France and Russia took the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots, respectively. Meanwhile, Italian production is set to decline 1.2% annually to 82,550 metric tons by 2026. This marks a decrease of 1% since 1966. Australia came in at 15th in 2021, with 88,490 metric tons, while New Zealand, Germany and France came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively.
