British butter consumption is forecast to reach 162,000 metric tons by 2026, an average year-on-year decline of 0.8% compared to 2021's 170,000 metric tons. Since 2017, UK demand has dropped by an average of 0.2%. Germany, France and Russia follow respectively as the second, third and fourth biggest butter consumers. 2013 saw British butter production total 145,000 metric tons, a slight drop from the previous year's 143,000 metric tons.
