Rwanda is set to increase its butter production to almost 3,000 metric tons by 2026. On average, the country's output has grown by 3% annually since 1966. In 2021, Rwanda was listed at number 71 in terms of production, with Slovenia ahead at 2,260 metric tons. New Zealand, Germany, and France took up the second, third, and fourth spots respectively. In 2018, Rwanda's butter consumption was 2,000 metric tons, up from 2017's 2,000 metric tons.
