In 2021, the country ranked 74th in the world, with Fiji coming in at 1,890 metric tons. New Zealand, Germany, and France ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively. Consumption of butter in Guatemala was close to 3,000 metric tons in 2018, up from the previous year's 3,000 metric tons.
