Dutch butter consumption is set to reach nearly 100,000 metric tons by 2026, according to latest estimates. This is an increase of 2% year-on-year from 2021, when the Netherlands was ranked 14th in the world for butter consumption. South Korea came ahead at 86,000 metric tons. Germany, France, and Russia respectively took the second, third, and fourth spots in the ranking. Meanwhile, Dutch butter production is projected to reach 166,250 metric tons by 2026. This is a growth rate of 0.8% each year since 2021, when Poland overtook the Netherlands at 158,610 metric tons. New Zealand, Germany, and France respectively held the second, third and fourth spots in the ranking. Since 1966, Dutch supply has decreased by 0.3% year-on-year.
