Since 2017, Azerbaijan’s demand for butter has grown at an average rate of 1.8% per year. The country ranked 31st in 2021, behind Afghanistan, which consumed 38 thousand tons. Germany, France, and Russia came in second, third, and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, Azerbaijani butter production is forecast to reach 31 thousand tons by 2026, up from 28 thousand tons in 2021. This represents an average annual growth rate of 1.8% since 1997. The country ranked 31st in 2021, behind Egypt at 28 thousand tons. New Zealand, Germany, and France came in second, third, and fourth respectively.
