Icelandic consumption of wheat is on the rise, projected to reach 27 thousand metric tons by 2026. This represents a growth of 0.8% per year since 2021, when consumption was 26 thousand metric tons. Since 2017, demand for wheat in Iceland has remained unchanged. In 2021, the country was ranked 147th in the world for wheat consumption. New Caledonia was ahead with 26 thousand metric tons. India, the United States and Pakistan followed in second, third, and fourth place respectively.
