German wheat consumption is set to reach 7.3 million metric tons by 2026, up 0.2% year on year, according to a recent report. The nation was in 13th place in 2021, with France coming in at first place with 7.3 million metric tons. India, the United States and Pakistan were respectively placed in second, third and fourth positions. Meanwhile, German wheat production is forecast to decrease by 0.4% year on year to 21.9 million metric tons by 2026. Germany was ranked ninth in 2021, with Pakistan taking first place at 22.4 million metric tons. India, Russia and the United States were placed second, third and fourth, respectively. Since 1966, the country’s supply has dropped by 1.8% year on year.
