Venezuelan wheat consumption is expected to fall by 2.8% annually to 837,000 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, it reached 988,000 metric tons, a 0.3% increase from 2017. The United Arab Emirates overtook Venezuela in 2021, ranking 57th. India, the United States and Pakistan took the top three spots in the ranking. Venezuelan wheat production is also set to rise, reaching 1.83 million metric tons by 2026. This is an average 4.5% growth from 2021's 1.4 million metric tons. Since 1966, Venezuelan production has increased 58.5% annually. Thailand's 1.4 million metric tons placed it ahead of Venezuela in 2021, taking the 107th spot. India, Russia and the United States were the top three producers.
