Qatari wheat production plummeted by 93.3% in 2019, down to just one metric ton from 15 metric tons the year before. It's a dramatic decline since 1976, when production stood at four metric tons, representing a 27.5% year-on-year decrease. Qatar now ranks 120th on the list of countries producing wheat, with Kuwait overtaking it with one metric ton. India, Russia, and the United States are the top three producers, respectively.
