Korean barley consumption is expected to remain stable at 45,000 metric tons by 2026, the same level as 2021. Since 2017, demand has stayed constant, with the country ranking 21st in 2021. Afghanistan placed first with 45,000 metric tons, followed by Morocco, India, and Algeria. Meanwhile, Korean barley production is forecast to decrease slightly to 116,000 metric tons by 2026, down 0.6% from 2021’s total of 120,020 metric tons. Since 1966, output has increased by an average of 10.2% per year, with the country ranking 60th in 2021. Uzbekistan topped the list with 120,020 metric tons, followed by France, Germany, and Canada.
