Russia is expected to consume 237,000 metric tons of barley in 2026 - a 2.8% year-on-year growth rate since 2021. This follows a 0.3% year-on-year decline since 2017. The country ranks seventh in the 2021 ranking, behind Poland, who consumed 201,000 metric tons. Morocco, India and Algeria are ranked second, third and fourth. Meanwhile, Russia's barley production is set to reach 21.2 million metric tons in 2026 - a 0.9% year-on-year average growth rate since 2021. This follows a 2.3% year-on-year rise since 1997. France, Germany and Canada rank second, third and fourth in the ranking.
