Barley production in Jordan is set to rise to 81,000 metric tons by 2026. It was 67,100 metric tons in 2021, growing at an average rate of 3.1% each year since 1966. Jordan was the 67th largest producer in 2021, overtaken by Eritrea, which produced 67,100 metric tons. France, Germany and Canada were the top three producers in 2021. Jordanian barley consumption was 3,000 metric tons in 2018, the same as in 2017. The country ranked 60th in 2018, behind Bulgaria, which consumed 3,000 metric tons. Morocco, India and Algeria were the top three consumers of barley in 2018.
