Croatian cocoa imports are forecast to drop 5.8% annually on average over the next five years, reaching 910,000 kilos in 2026. This would be a decrease of 3.1% on the 1997 level. Algeria overtook Croatia in 2021 as the world's 37th biggest cocoa importer, with 1.3 million kilos. The United States, Malaysia and Germany followed in the rankings, at numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
