The country has seen a 3.3% year-on-year average growth rate since 1966, with figures currently standing at 174,870. This puts Burundi at number 72 in the global rankings, with Greece just ahead at 174,870 heads. The United States Virgin Islands, Brazil and Spain respectively rank at numbers 2, 3 and 4.
