In 2021, the country ranked 43rd in the world with 567,490 heads of pork, with Australia overtaking them. The United States Virgin Islands, Brazil and Spain were the next three largest producers. Meanwhile, Ugandan pork consumption is projected to drop 0.2% per year over the same period, reaching 126 thousand metric tons by 2026. Since 2017, the country's demand has decreased by 0.5% annually.
