Guyanese pig production is set to decline by an average of 1.7% year-on-year, reaching 2,160 heads by 2026. Since 1966, the supply of pigs in Guyana has fallen by 0.9% annually. In 2021, the country was ranked 146th, behind the Cook Islands, which had 2,390 heads. The United States Virgin Islands, Brazil, and Spain were ranked second, third, and fourth respectively. In 2018, Guyanese pork consumption totalled 2,000 metric tons, compared to the previous year.
