The United States Virgin Islands, Brazil and Spain ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Portuguese pork consumption is forecast to fall by 0.1% annually, reaching 411,000 metric tons by 2026. Demand has decreased by an average of 0.5% each year since 2017 and the country was 37th in the 2021 global rankings, behind the United States Virgin Islands and ahead of Suriname. Brazil, Spain and Australia rounded out the top six.
