Maltese bauxite exports have dropped 11.2% year-on-year to nearly 300 metric tons in 2021. This is almost 18% lower than the 2005 figure. Maltese bauxite imports are expected to decrease by 2.6% on average to around 3,000 metric tons by 2026. This is a 4.1% increase from the 2005 figure.
