Dane is set to see bauxite exports grow by 1.4% year on year on average to 227,000 metric tons by 2026. This growth has been steady since 1998, when exports were recorded at a 3.3% year on year average. In 2021, Dane placed 21st in the world rankings for bauxite exports, behind the Czech Republic at 208,000 metric tons. Ireland, the Netherlands, and France followed respectively in the rankings. In terms of imports, Dane is forecast to see demand increase by 0.9% year on year, to 298,000 metric tons by 2026. Again this rate has been consistent since 1998, when imports grew 1.6% on average year on year. Last year, Croatia overtook Dane in the world rankings, with imports of 282,000 metric tons. Spain, Ireland, and France followed in the rankings.
