Global sheep exports are predicted to reach nearly $1 billion by 2026, up 0.1% on average year-on-year from 2021's figure of $953 million. The total global supply of sheep exports has risen 1.3% year-on-year since 2016. In 2021, Romania was the biggest exporter with $225 million, followed by Spain, Australia and Jordan. Russia saw the largest growth in exports, up 72.1% year-on-year, while Uruguay saw a 46.3% decrease since 2016. Global sheep imports are predicted to drop to $1.3 billion by 2026, down 0.1% on average year-on-year from 2021's figure of $1.3 billion. The total global demand for sheep imports has decreased 1% year-on-year since 2017. In 2021, Saudi Arabia was the biggest importer with $551 million, followed by Qatar, Kuwait and Israel. Ivory Coast saw the largest growth in imports, up 109.3% year-on-year, while Canada saw a 59.8% decrease since 2017.
