China's import of sheep is set to reach $2 million by 2026, down 6.3% from 2021. Since 1997, the country has seen an 18.9% yearly decrease in demand. In 2021, China ranked 31st, with Hungary leading the way at $2.8 million. Qatar, Kuwait and Israel followed, with $2.6 million, $1.1 million and $1 million respectively. In 2015, China's export of sheep was $4.7 million, down from $21.4 million the year before.
