Brazilian sheep imports nearly tripled in 2018, growing from $13,930 in 2017 to more than $23,600. This 69.7 percent increase was a dramatic shift from the 28.7 percent decrease seen since 1994. In 2018, Brunei was the largest importer of sheep, with more than $23,600 spent on the animal. Qatar, Kuwait and Israel placed second, third and fourth respectively. Senegal came in 66th place, overtaking Brazil’s import of $973. Spain, Australia and Jordan placed second, third and fourth respectively.
