In 2021, Mozambique was the 43rd largest producer of sugar, with 436,210 metric tons. Zimbabwe outranked it on that list. Brazil, Thailand and China were the top three producers, respectively. By 2026, Mozambique's production is expected to reach 487,550 metric tons.
