France, Italy, and Poland ranked second, third, and fourth in this ranking. German sugar production is expected to grow by 0.5% year on year, reaching 4.7 million metric tons by 2026. This is an increase of 3.8% year on year since 1966, and Germany ranked eleventh in 2021. Australia topped the list with 4.5 million metric tons, followed by Brazil, Thailand, and China.
