Hungary's sugar production is set to drop by 4.4% annually and reach around 97,000 metric tons by 2026. The country was 70th in 2021, with Romania coming in ahead at 125,340 metric tons. Brazil, Thailand and China ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. Since 1966, Hungarian production has decreased at an average rate of 2.7% year on year.
