Sugar production in Nepal is on the rise. By 2026, it is expected to reach 203,490 metric tons, up from 179,620 metric tons in 2021. That's a growth rate of 2.1% every year. Since 1966, the Nepalese sugar supply has increased at an average rate of 5.1% each year. In 2021, Nepal was the 59th largest producer of sugar, with Belize just ahead at 179,620 metric tons. Brazil, Thailand and China were the second, third and fourth largest producers respectively.
