Since 1966, Burmese sugar supply has been decreasing steadily, falling by 0.3% annually. In 2021, the country ranked 93rd in the world, overtaken by Nigeria with 24,290 metric tons. Brazil, Thailand and China took the top three spots in this ranking, respectively.
