Laos is set to boost its sugar production to around 23,000 metric tons by 2026, a 3.2% year-on-year growth. This follows a 1.3% annual increase since 2010. Laos was ranked 97th in 2021, with Somalia coming in ahead with 18,720 metric tons. Brazil, Thailand and China took the top three spots in the rankings.
