Armenian sugar production is set to increase over the next five years. In 2021, the country produced 7,920 metric tons, placing it 102nd in the world rankings. Rwanda came in first with 8,990 metric tons, while Brazil, Thailand, and China followed in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively. Since 2007, Armenia has seen a 2.1% year-on-year increase in sugar production. This trend is expected to continue, with production projected to reach 8,990 metric tons by 2026.
