Albania is set to produce 1,480 metric tons of sugar by 2026, a 6.7% decrease from 2021, when it produced 2,220 metric tons. Since 1966, Albanian sugar supply has been declining at a rate of 6.8% each year. In 2021, Albania was ranked 108th in global sugar production, behind Liberia, which produced 2,220 metric tons. Brazil, Thailand and China were the top three producers, occupying the second, third and fourth spot, respectively.
