Thailand was the leader in 2021, with 9.2 million TEUs. The US, Singapore and South Korea followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively. Container handling at British ports is projected to reach 11.1 million TEUs by 2026, a yearly growth rate of 1% since 2021. This is a 0.2% rise compared to 2005. Italy topped the list in 2021 with 10.3 million TEUs. Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium held the second, third and fourth slots, respectively.
