Burmese container traffic volume is expected to reach 1.4 million Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) by 2026. In 2021, it stood at 1.1 million TEUs, and has grown by an average of 2.9% year-on-year since 2012. Burma ranked 58th in the world for container traffic in 2021, with Lebanon coming in ahead at 1.1 million TEUs. The United States, Singapore, and South Korea were ranked second, third, and fourth respectively.
