Vietnamese Fish Production is projected to rise to approximately 5.2 million metric tons by 2028, up from around 4.9 million metric tons in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 1%. Historical data since 1965 indicates that Vietnam's fish supply has increased at an average rate of 3.3% per year. In the global ranking for fish production, Vietnam trails behind Indonesia, India, and Bangladesh, which hold the second, third, and fourth spots respectively. Meanwhile, Vietnamese fish consumption is expected to climb to nearly 270,000 metric tons by 2028, up from about 246,000 metric tons in 2023. The consumption is growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 1.5%. Since 2019, demand in Vietnam has surged by 2.4% annually.
