Russian fish production is projected to reach approximately 419,000 metric tons by 2028, up from around 349,000 metric tons in 2023, marking an average annual growth rate of 2.9%. Malaysia slightly outpaced Russia with a production of around 349,000 metric tons. The top three spots were held by Indonesia, India, and Bangladesh, respectively. On the consumption front, Russian fish consumption is expected to drop to about 639,000 metric tons by 2028, down from nearly 697,000 metric tons in 2023. This represents an average annual decline of 1.3%. Since 2019, Russian fish demand has decreased by 1.7% each year.
