Leading the rankings were Indonesia, India, and Bangladesh, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. On the consumption front, Romanian fish consumption is expected to rise to 87,560 metric tons by 2028, up from 82,700 metric tons in 2023. This growth reflects an average annual increase of 1%. Since 2019, the country's demand for fish has been climbing at an average rate of 1.3% per year.
