The leading countries in fish production were Indonesia, India, and Bangladesh, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. On the consumption front, Slovenia's fish consumption is anticipated to reach about 7,550 metric tons by 2028, up from 7,140 metric tons in 2023. This reflects an average annual growth of 0.9% in fish consumption. Since 2019, the demand for fish in Slovenia has increased by the same annual rate of 0.9%.
