Leading the rankings were Indonesia, India, and Bangladesh, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. On the consumption front, Slovak fish consumption is expected to decline slightly. Projections indicate a decrease to 14.07 thousand metric tons by 2028, down from 14.36 thousand metric tons in 2023. This decline corresponds to a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of -0.3%. Since 2019, the demand for fish in Slovakia has been gradually decreasing by an average of 0.2% annually.
